The family asked for a larger house. Feasibility showed that a better-lit, better-connected room could solve the pressure without adding an upper level or replacing the sound brick shell.
The sawtooth profile admits controlled northern light over the deeper plan. The old rear wall remains partly visible, making the threshold between original and added space readable.
